City Gov to Fix Abandoned Monorail Poles in Jakarta

Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, stated the Jakarta Government would resolve the issues of the abandoned monorail project poles in Jakarta.

They are very disruptive

According to him, those poles were disrupting the aesthetics of the capital. This statement was conveyed during his visit to the Jakarta Planetarium & Observatory at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta on Tuesday (5/20).

"They are very disruptive. We will fix it soon, whether it will be cleaned or something else will be made? There must be a decision for that," he expressed, Wednesday (5/21).

Monorail Pole on Jalan HR Rasuna Said will Be Torn Down

He explained the monorail project was halted due to legal issues between the contractor and related parties. Despite the LRT replaced it, the poles still sturdy and remain non-functional to this day.

Therefore, the Jakarta Government would take the appropriate actions to address the matter.

"If you all pass through the Rasuna Said or Senayan areas, you will see many abandoned poles that have not been touched by anyone. So, I personally want to fix them," he stated.
